Grammys ’15, Best & Worst Dressed

By IMAGE
09th Feb 2015

The Grammys is always a bit hit and miss when it comes to fashion. Sometimes there’s too much cleavage because attendees forget they’re not shooting a music video and writhing in the sand. Other times, things can get a little bit dowdy as performers treat the awards ceremony like a religious event.

Here we take a look at the most memorable looks of the night, starting with the best dressed.

Best Dressed: Anna Kendrick

Anna Kendrick kept things characteristically classy. The female suit is a difficult red carpet task to pull off – see Angelina Jolie for the masterclass – but the Pitch Perfect star has managed to keep the flame of our girl crush alight. (Also, how excited are you for Pitch Perfect 2?)

As Anna instagrammed about her prepations for the awards, “It takes a village.”

Gwen Stafani plus Versace couture equals the perfect Grammys look.

We’re Miley fans in general, so we’re glad that this Grammys we don’t have to apologetically admit that. The girl cleaned up good in this black dress while keeping her razor sharp personality in place with some daring, yet suggestive, cut-outs.

Listen, if you have stems like Taylor Swift you’re going to wear an aquamarine gown that shows them off to their full advantage. Towering fuchsia heels are a no-brainer.

Sisters, sisters, never were there such devoted sisters who all certainly planned their outfits with military and complimentary precision. You can tell Haim have been hanging with Taylor and Lorde in recent months. All that polished sheen is rubbing off.

Worried that your all-black ensemble might be a little bit boring? Just grab a child and a crimped wig and let no one see your face. For more tips see the Sia fashion playbook, available for download now.

And now, the worst looks of the night.

Sure Rihanna, it may be Giambattista Valli and fresh from the Parisian catwalks, but it’s still looks like one of those dolls that decorates a toilet roll.

Is anyone else worried about Katy Perry’s hair? Is anyone else worried that she’s going to get caught in an escalator?

Meghan Trainor seems like a lovely girl and the fact she wore a velvet wallpaper stencil to a massive music industry event reinforces that impression.

Hi Iggy, could you please look down and explain the bottom of your dress? We’re genuinely curious.

This is the year 2017 and Lady Gaga owns Las Vegas.

Kim Kardashian is a modern reincarnation of Cleopatra. Discuss.

Worst Dressed: Madonna

Oh, hello Madonna.
