Emmy Awards 2016: The Winners

The biggest night for TV, The Emmy Awards, has been and gone but not before a handful of coveted statuettes were awarded to a host of diverse actors. Jimmy Kimmel, who helmed the show, made reference to the much talked about ‘Oscars So White’ controversy by highlighting the fact that the nominees and winners were a diverse group, unlike the latter.

The big winners on the night were Veep, The People Vs OJ Simpson and Game of Thrones – the HBO fantasy drama triumphed in three categories at Sunday’s ceremony, including outstanding drama series, bringing the show’s total number of awards to 38.
