Cara Delevingne Has Written A Novel

She’s had a succesful modelling career, walking on her first runway at 20 years old, with five British Vogue covers?and campaigns with everyone from Topshop to Chanel.

She cut ties with her agency in 2015, told the New York Times?‘she felt that modelling was killing her soul, had caused her to develop psoriasis and said it?”was never a dream of mine”. The real dream, she told Vogue, was acting: “The thrill of acting is making a character real. Modelling is the opposite of real. It’s being fake in front of the camera.?

Cut?to a seamless career transition from noteworthy model to noteworthy actress – with a string of successful films (Pan, Suicide Squad, Paper Towns, Kids In Love) and the beginning’s of a career in activism. She’s spoken out about her depression, used her voice to support?numerous animal rights campaigns and?was recently in Uganda with the United Nations Foundation’s Girl Up Campaign to meet with refugees?as well as refugee girls who have been able to enroll in school thanks to Girl Up.

If you’re feeling like a bit of an underachiever, saddle up – Cara Delevingne is also releasing a novel.

She announced yesterday on Instagram that she would be releasing her first novel, Mirror Mirror in October – a novel about “self discovery, friendship, pain, triumph”.

She wrote on Instagram:

“Another pinch me moment!! Announcing my first novel Mirror, Mirror, coming out this October! SO EXCITED !!! Until it all changes one day? (que scary music ) I love these characters so much, I love what they stand for, what this story represents. The process of putting this novel together has been life changing and something I hold really close to my heart!! I cannot wait to share with everyone! You can pre-order Mirror, Mirror now by clicking on the link in my bio? lets start one big virtual book club!!! Cause I want us to talk about this time in life, self discovery, friendship, pain, triumph!! Being a teenager!! The experiences that shape YOU!”
