Aldi’s latest collection will make summer dining easy and hassle-free

Aldi’s latest collection will make summer dining easy and hassle-free

With summer in the air, al fresco dining is practically mandatory this time of year (naturally, when the weather allows!). Yes, we can visit restaurants again, but even at that, the pandemic has seen us get reacquainted with our love of home cooking; of eating with friends and family from the comfort of our own back gardens

Aldi’s latest collection is ideal if you’re planning to cook up a storm indoors and then enjoy the fruits of your labour with some friends and family outback. Think handy sandwich toasters, burger makers and espresso machines with an array of pretty and practical serving options to go with them. Even if you’re not quite ready to launch the barbecue just yet, you can still host a memorable get-together – all you need are the right tools. Here are our favourites.

Kitchen updates

Sandwich Toaster, €9.99

Nothing says tasty like a toasted sandwich – and (almost) like the pros do it. The anti-stick coated baking plates mean cleaning won’t be a nightmare and its thermostat temperature control and overheat protection means there’ll be no accidents even if the kids want to help.

Premium Stovetop Espresso Maker €10.99

No morning, afternoon or after-dinner digestive is complete without coffee. Make yours in minutes with this Stovetop Espresso Maker. Made from stainless steel and suitable for all hobs.

Quesadilla Maker €16.99

Mexican night, anyone? This takes the fuss out of making these tortillas, with 6 deep-dish pockets, not stick plates and even a tray to catch any oil drippings. The fun bit will be deciding what to fill yours with.

Burger Maker €16.99

All hail the humble burger. Whether a lunchtime snack or part of your main meal, this is a great, hassle-free snack maker. This two-slice burger maker is suitable for ready-made, frozen or home-made.

Outdoor dining

Paper partywear, assorted designs, €0.99 per 16 or 24 pack

Paper partywear means there’s less washing up after and even better as this is made with FSC® certified paper, the Forest Stewardship Council logo gives customers the option to choose products that have been sourced in an environmentally friendly, socially responsible and economically viable manner. Choose from 24 pack Napkins, 16 pack Plates or 16 pack Tumblers. Available in Glitz, Carnival Rocket Lolly or Abstract designs.

Outdoor table-wear. Assorted designs and prices

For more serving suggestions this Serving Melamine (€5.99 each or per 2 pack) and matching Melamine Dining Set (€5.99 per 6 pack) featuring 6 Dinner Plates, 6 Bowls or 6 Tumblers in Palm Leaf or Ikat designs will be a crowd-pleaser. To go alongside your tumblers you can buy a 4 Pack of printed glasses (€7.99 per 4 pack) in Ikat or Palm Leaf Print.

You can also choose from a range of woven Table Accessories (€5.99). Each set includes 2 Placemats and 2 Coasters and comes in grey, brown, cream, or navy.

The above products and more are on sale in 142 Aldi stores nationwide from Thursday, 16th July.
