Constantly on the move (and that’s a good thing), comedian Aisling Bea will be in Kilkenny (Cat Laughs, May 30-June 3), Montreal, Edinburgh and Dublin over the following months. And that’s not taking into account all the telly. That she’s in big demand comes as no surprise – this self-deprecating gal from Kildare is charm itself – something the judges at So You Think You’re Funny also noticed this year. She was the first woman to win the prestigious award in 20 years – past winners include Dylan Moran, Tommy Tiernan and Peter Kay.
