Social Pics: 2019’s The Pitch in collaboration with Samsung

After a night of glamour, excitement and just a few nerves, our nine finalists for this year’s Pitch competition made their way to the stage.

2019 saw the second year of IMAGE and Samsung’s groundbreaking competition, The Pitch, make its way to the stunning surroundings of Dublin’s City Hall. With fabulous adornments from Movement Events and Apassionata Flowers, guests were treated to canapés and bubbly before sitting to watch our nine finalists make their bid for the prize.

Our expert panel of judges — Jo Malone CBE (entrepreneur and founder of Jo Loves), Bobby Kerr (broadcaster and founder of the Insomnia Coffee Company), Linda Nolan (Head of Marketing Samsung Ireland), Clodagh Edwards (CEO IMAGE Publications) and last year’s winner Jennifer Rock (CEO and founder of The Skin Nerd) — listened to nine five-minute pitches, and then deliberated to come to a decision.

The prize on the line was truly career-transformative — a €100,000 suite of Samsung technology, bespoke to the business’s key needs; a digital masterclass with Teneo to train the business in marketing strategy for the future; and a customised multi-platform media package from IMAGE Media, including exposure across our social channels and sister titles. It was all to play for, and our finalists came ready.

Our 2019 winner, who beat off stiff competition from other finalists, was Gym+Coffee, an Irish athleisure wear brand with a focus on getting the community to live healthier lifestyles in the great outdoors. A massive congratulations to our winner, and to the other finalists for competing. Until next year!
