Creative pair team together to launch ‘Mind Youself’

Music photographer Ruth Medjber and artist Holly Pereira launch a print inspired by the well-known Irish phrase ‘Mind Yourself’.

While faced with multiple job cancellations, amidst the uncertainty of COVID-19, photographer Ruth Medjber (Ruthless Imagery) decided to get creative.

Medjber teamed up with her friend, artist Holly Pereira, to create something unique and inspiring that speaks to Ireland’s sense of community and togetherness.

Speaking about the collaboration Ruth said “‘Mind Yourself’ is a phrase we utter, casually, and in parting, all the time.  But now, it can function as a timely reminder to not only look after our physical health, but our minds too.”

Holly added; “We wanted to make something that looks good and reminds you to be kind to yourself. If you can’t mind yourself, you sure as hell can’t mind others.”

Working together but separately, Holly and Ruth came up with two products – a gorgeous t-shirt and a large canvas shopper.  The garments are ethically sourced, and it was important to the pair to support another fantastic small Irish business, pulled.ie who will hand print each item.
