Three new hair products that make waves simple

Three new hair products that make waves simple

Are you, too, terrible at curling your own hair? No matter what I use, no matter how many YouTube tutorials I watch, when I curl my hair, it always turns into ringlets that take a night’s sleep to fall out and still don’t make me look like Sienna Miller.

There are however three new product here to help me and you, unskilled reader with bad hair.

The ghd Oracle, €199, exclusively at Peter Mark

The new ghd tool is truly a revolution in hair tools. It deserves all the hype of the original ghd you’ve been holding on to for years. If you can curl your hair with a ghd, I applaud you. If you can’t curl your hair with anything, this is the one for you. Introducing ghd’s magnum opus, the Oracle, offering waves in just one stroke. It looks like a crimper, with a wave ceramic heater inside. It took 7 years to create and a £5.2 million investment. There’s no wrapping the hair around anything, no burning your hands or face, no skilled hand technique necessary. There is however innovative cold ceramic plates to set your curls instantly. You just place the ghd Oracle horizontally on the hair, turn your hand 90 degrees, glide in one stroke, and perfect curls. I swear it’s that easy. If you’ve always wanted perfect waves but have never found the tool to pull it off, change your life with this.

Ouai Wave Spray, €28, available at Arnotts

You woke up late and you slept in your wet hair and it’s turned into a cloud and you need to have nice hair today but you didn’t have the time to do anything about it and now you definitely don’t have the time to do anything about it. (Hey there, soulmate). That’s okay, heatless waves are now possible. Mist Ouai Wave Spray into medium size sections of your hair and move the hair around in your fingers for a piecey texture. Looks like you let your hair dry after you stepped out of the sea, even if you in reality you just stepped out of the bed. Ouai Haircare is now available in Arnotts – run, don’t walk.

& Other Stories Universal Beach Spray, €12

All of the & Other Stories haircare range is great, but the Beach Spray is a particular hero. It’s infused with salt, sugar and coconut water and is different to the Ouai Wave Spray in that the waves it creates are softer. Mist onto damp or dry hair for texture or blow-dry for volume, but for extra beachy waves, apply on wet hair, scrunch the hair and let air-dry, then re-apply when the hair is dry.
