The essential beauty rituals that contribute to my wellbeing

If you're giving yourself the time to retreat from the world and put your own wellbeing first, it doesn't matter what it involves, once you do it. For me, beauty rituals help my mental health and stress levels...

Anytime I feel overwhelmed, stressed or just tired, I find myself retreating to my beauty routines as a way to relax. Maybe it's because I know that if I feel like I look good, I'll feel better. Maybe it's because they're such relaxing and soothing rituals to take part in. Either way, they work. Find what yours are and retreat when you need to.

Double Cleanse and Mask

Most mornings and evenings, cleansing is something to get out of the way, get done and move on from - either to start your day or get into bed after a long one. So for me, there's nothing more indulgent than giving myself an extra twenty minutes to double cleanse thoroughly, apply a mask, and look forward to the silky soft skin I'll have afterwards. Add a face massage into the mix for ultimate self-care points.

Luxury bath and exfoliation

If I'm having a bad day, to finish the day off in a good mood I'll do three things. I'll run a bath, get my favourite magazine ready and pop on my Neom Wellbeing Pod to scent the bathroom and help me relax. It's like getting a hug - my ultimate wellbeing tool.

Home pedicure

I'm not sure what it is, but a pedicure - for me - is the ultimate luxury. I get them as often as I possibly can, but when I can't afford a fancy one, I find the process of doing a mini at-home one very satisfying. From a good toenail cut to a foot mask (yes, really) I go all out and love the process. In winter, it's somewhat unnecessary, but as summer approaches, sexy feet are handy to have.
