The Best Beauty Looks From Paris Fashion Week

Paris fashion week tends to go out with a bang and beauty-wise, we weren’t disappointed. Looking ahead to AW17, the Parisian catwalks had it all: subversive bold statements, strong lips, bright eyes and subtle liner right down to that pared-down ‘barely-there’ French aesthetic, so whatever your preferred look, you’ll be able to update it for the new season.

In terms of beauty, fans of liner and the exaggerated cat eye will be thrilled as they were all over the runways. Balmain went full-on with smudged-out wings, Fenty x Puma, also went for pronounced black flicks and at Valentino, went for a monochrome makeup effect with burgundy?cat eyes and a matching statement lip. We are so used to seeing the bold, brightly beautiful makeup that can saturate the runways so?when Lowe’s models came out with the ‘no makeup’ effect; it was a refreshing surprise. Yves Saint Laurent and Mugler also went for soft beauty with an emphasis on accented eyeliner.

And for hair, Chanel, Issey Miyake and H&M were all about statement headbands;?Chanel’s Barbarella-inspired ‘dos were topped off with crystal-encrusted designs worn over the ear (though they were also rather Tudor-esque), while classic black’medium-width styles were visible at the H&M Studio show. However,?Issey Miyake’s take on the hairband packed the most punch; the ‘headbands’, which were actually created from the model’s own hair and painted a striking blue-green. Soft, textured waves and curls were also popular for Dior and Nina Ricci.
