Rose McGowan Shaves Her Head For ?Liberating? New Look

Talented actress Rose McGowan is known for speaking her mind. She isn’t afraid to call out sexism and frequently participates in projects aimed at highlighting the need for women to be fully inclusive in society. She also goes her own way when it comes to her beauty routine. Her long, glossy dark hair was subsequently chopped in favour of a chic pixie cut, and now the Grindhouse star has taken things a step further and shaved her head completely.

And being the perpetual badass that she is, the decision wasn’t even based on an upcoming film role; she simply wanted to liberate herself from being devoid of her tresses. In her words, she “just didn’t want it any longer.”

Detailing the process on Instagram, the former Charmed star posted a video of the process and some accompanying snaps, which you can see below.

No hair don’t care. Honestly, it’s liberating.

Not one to shy away from making a controversial statement, McGowan recently hit headlines for criticising Caitlyn Jenner. She penned an open letter on Facebook – which has since been deleted – after the transgender reality star joked that the ?hardest part of being a woman is figuring out what to wear.?

Such a drastic change might not suit everyone, but she looks amazing, and as already nailed two major looks with her crop: deep, wine-coloured lipstick and massive chandelier earrings. There’s not many a woman who can pull off both.

And for all the folks out there who don’t appreciate the buzz cut, McGowan has some words: “Short hair, don’t care,” she captioned her pic. “Honestly, it’s liberating.”

Remember that time we mentioned the men who looked even better sans a head full of hair? Well, now it’s time to turn the focus onto some fantastic females who also look equally gorgeous without. Natalie Portman, Sigourney Weaver in her Alien days and more recently, Natalie Dormer looked incredibly fierce with her partially shaved mane. View the rest in our gallery above.
