Partying Late At The Launch Of Black Opium Nuit Blanche

Opium, the YSL fragrance is one steeped in heritage, with exotic oriental undertones and a rock chick, partygirl rep. So how lucky was I to be in the frow when YSL Beaut? muse Edie Campbell launched Black Opium Nuit Blanche, the third in a trinity of reimagined scents.

Over endless glasses of Tattinger champagne and a thumping electro-pop playlist from DJ Natasha Lejeune, Paris? beautiful young things turned up, clad in black from the sootiest eyeliner (and lots of it), to the skinny leather leggings, so de rigeur with models and other human gazelles.

White neon strip lights guided guests in to the pitch-black 30GV club, on Avenue George V. Of course, there were endless photo-opp spaces for the socially savvy, and make-up stations manned by YSL Beaut? artists, on hand for selfie-friendly faces.

Created to transport the wearer from dark night to the early, white dawn, Black Opium Nuit Blanche was toasted by Edie, who then introduced electro-rock band The Shoes who played late into the night. So late, that word has it, last stragglers were seen leaving the venue at 4am.
