Beauty News: New Spot-Busting Products From La Roche-Posey

Most sufferers of acne-prone skin will be familiar with La Roche-Posay’s much-loved Effaclar range, and just in time for summer, they’ve released two new products so you can keep skin clear, despite the heat.?

Effaclar Duo [+] SPF30, €18.50

The La Roche-Posey team has, at last, come up with a solution for those that are hesitant to wear facial sun cream for fear?of it clogging pores and leaving a greasy sheen on the skin’s surface. And as we know, wearing sun cream is an absolute must. So how can those of us with oily skin go about protecting it? ?Their new Effaclar Duo [+] SPF30 clears out pores, balances skin and acts on acne scarring and existing imperfections. This year the brand has introduced a new formulation with SPF 30 protection, making it a perfect base for sunny days. Having tried it, the formula is pleasant and wearable and does what it says on the tin.

Apply a thin layer before makeup application or wear without.

?Effaclar Purifying Mask, €15

For those with pores the size of beach balls (me), the use of a weekly mask does wonders in terms of keeping impurities at bay. La Roche’s new purifying sebo-controlling mask promises to aid the unclogging of pores and reduce shine. ?The mask, formulated with gentle clays eliminates excess sebum and even invisible impurities (dust, pollution particles) which mean that their Effaclar Duo should be even more effective used in conjunction with the mask. The main thing I liked after use was that it didn’t dry the skin and my t-zone appeared shine-free the next day.

Apply a fine layer to skin once or twice a week after cleansing and leave on for five minutes before rinsing.

Both products will be available nationwide from June?
