Lululemon to launch their own ‘self-care’ range

Lululemon to launch their own ‘self-care’ range

If you’ve wanted to achieve the post-yoga glow without going to a class, athleisure brand lululemon have made it easier. They’ve just announced they’re launching their very own self-care range in response to the many women who need to get from their yoga mat to the office and look presentable. It’s no surprise then that the product list so far is small and includes; deodorant, lip balm, face moisturiser, and the all-important dry shampoo.

This is the Canadian brand’s first foray into the beauty world, as their workout gear is what they are known for. Having bought my first pair of lululemon leggings two years ago, I am already hooked on the label. The leggings are life-changing, and I wouldn’t be the type to recommend for anyone to spend €150 on a pair of running tights.

Their clothing range is practical and really works around what women actually need from their workout gear. The favourite leggings in question have; pockets, a high waist, do not slip down ever and are not in the slightest bit see-through, plus they make your bum look AH-mazing.  So if what we’ve tried so far is anything to go by, we have high hopes for their beauty launch and that it will contain products that are both practical and functional.

The product’s packaging has all been designed with travel in mind. As you’ll more than likely be hopping between bus – gym – office – bar -these products can get bashed around. They come in ‘at home’ size as well as travel-sized if you pack light. The biggest pro? All products are leak proof so no more spillage at the bottom of your gym bag.

The range so far includes;

Anti-Stink Deodorant

Deodorant is an absolute must for your gym kit, and this one is an aluminium-free spray on. We love the name.

Basic Balm Lip Balm

If you’ve been rocking an early morning hot yoga class or have been out pounding the pavements, a balm is a must have to keep lips protected against extremes of hot and cold. This one contains a hydrating mix of shea butter, organic beeswax, coconut oil and jojoba seed oil.

A moisturiser is needed after a workout to combat what the brand has cleverly dubbed ‘sweat-lag’. That’s when your face is feeling particularly parched and needs a moisture boost post gym session. It is a gel moisturiser which means it will feel light and breathable as well as cooling on the skin.

No Show Dry Shampoo

Dry shampoo is something my gym kit could not be without, as if you’re rushing straight from the mat to your desk you don’t always have time for hair-washing in between.

The curated collection of products has no price list available yet and will be launching in ‘late Spring’ according to their website. Watch this space.
