WHAT?S THE BEST WAY TO UPDATE YOUR HAIR FOR SUMMER?

Summer is the perfect time to update your hair, either with a new cut or colour. For longer hair, perhaps try a shorter look, like the ?lob? (shoulder-length bob), with layers and texture throughout, for low maintenance during the summer. If you have darker hair, I suggest some softer highlights to give that sun-kissed look, breaking up the deep tones of your hair. Other options are ombre? lightening or balayage - a gradual lightening from the mid-lengths to ends.

HOW CAN WE PULL OFF SHORT HAIR?

For shorter hair, which is best suited to an oval face shape, the pixie cut is on trend right now, but it's not suitable for all face shapes. Shorter cuts also work best with straighter textured hair.

ANY TIPS FOR KEEPING YOUR HAIR HEALTHY?

Think the four Cs for healthy hair - cleanse, condition, cut and create. Always use professional home haircare products recommended by your hairstylist. Shampooing and conditioning are vital to keep hair healthy, along with cutting your hair every six to eight weeks to keep it in shape and dry ends away. Only use styling and finishing products that are necessary to create the looks, and don't overload with products.

DO YOU HAVE A FIVE-MINUTE STYLE THAT YOU COULD TEACH US?

An easy five-minute way to create a fringe, without cutting your hair, is to pull your hair up into a ponytail on top of the crown, tie the hair but pull the ends towards the front of the forehead. Brush and distribute the hair evenly, creating a fringe look, and use a headscarf tied around the head to keep it in place.

WHO SETS THE STANDARD FOR GREAT HAIR?

I have always been a fan of Vidal Sassoon's team for precision cutting. Daniel Galvin for colour. For session styling,
Sam McKnight, Eugene Souleiman and Luigi Murenu.
