The IMAGE Beauty Awards: This year's best shampoos

On the lookout for a new shampoo? The 15th annual IMAGE Beauty Awards supplement lists the best beauty launches of the last year, in partnership with Boots. The awards are independently judged by Ireland's leading doctors, dermatologists, beauty professionals, make-up artists, hair experts and influencers.

IMAGE contributing editor Melanie Morris says, "I hope we've included some familiar favourites here, along with some future heroes you'll consider valuable new additions to your beauty bag. We've also made sure to pick up plenty of insider pro tips from our expert judging panel and have shared the best with you in the IMAGE Beauty Awards supplement."

Check out the six winning shampoos chosen by David Cashman, art director at Reds hair salon; Darren Kennedy, TV presenter and writer; Michael Leong, freelance hairstylist at; and Sharon Sheehan, artistic director at AC Pure.

Redken Clean Maniac Micellar Clean Touch Shampoo, €17.50

"This gives the hair a really good cleanse. Best on natural hair, as it might be a bit hard on coloured hair. It's also great for post-spa hair, or if you get a build-up of product like hair wax, so it's great for men's hair. One shampoo would do it. It's also silicone and sulfate free."
