(before Fenty) as a turning point in the beauty industry. The?second?Victoria Beckham x?Est?e Lauder‘make-up range collaboration.?The Balmain x L?Or?al Paris lipstick collection.

Finally, after months of Instagram teasers, we have an official FENTY Beauty launch date.
What do we know so far?
Not much I’m afraid. RiRi’s been posting info on social media, but it’s all very mysterious and secret and we haven’t seen as much as a swatch of lipstick. So for now, let’s take a little Rih-cap on what we do know for sure.
Once upon a time, way back when, in August of 2014, Shakira’s?“Can’t Remember to Forget You” feat Rihanna?was in the charts (really painting a picture for you here) when the world reported that Rihanna had trademarked her name and registered the names Fenty Clothing, Fenty Intimates, Fenty Beauty, Fenty Cosmetics and Fenty Makeup with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
Since then, Rihanna has been involved in a massive amount of beauty and fashion collaborations: two collaborations with M.A.C (as well as being named M.A.C’s “creative partner” – does anyone else remember trying to get their hands on RiRi Woo lipstick in 2013?), three Rihanna x Manolo Blahnik collections,?co-designing two jewellery collections for Chopard, several Rihanna x Stance sock collections, a Rihanna x Dior Sunglasses collection (as well as becoming the first black spokeswoman for Dior),?Rihanna x?Jacquie Aiche temporary tattoos, ‘re-designing Fendi’s new 3Baguette handbag for charity and three River Island collections. Not to mention designing?her own fashion line, Fenty x Puma, that you can thank for velvet creepers and furry slides. If you’re feeling like a little bit of an underachiever after reading that list (that doesn’t even include the albums, tours, movies and shows she has done, as well as just trying to live her life) well, you should. You have the same amount of hours in a day as Rihanna. What have you ever done?
A year after we learned she had patented FENTY Beauty, in August 2015, Rihanna seemed surprised in an interview with Refinery29 that the world knew she had’registered those patents.??That is definitely something I am going to have my hands on and would love to do,”she told Refinery29. It’s something that I’ve always wanted to do, but I’ve always had so much on my hands. But, this time, I’m going to make sure it happens. I’m going to find some time between albums and fragrance to do that. I promise.?
She’s released a ton of fragrances – nine different scents for women, and a scent for men – with Reb?l Fleur, Rebelle, Nude and Rogue among the most profitable. Still, until April 2016, we hadn’t heard a peep about Rihanna’s beauty line when LVMH announced they had landed a deal with Rihanna to do a complete makeup collection, FENTY Beauty by Rihanna.
In May Rihanna tweeted that FENTY Beauty would launch this autumn and in April, when asked by a fan what highlighter she was wearing, she responded “it’s mine.” So we know for sure that we’re getting a least one highlighter to help us shine bright like a diamond.
There’s rumours of ?a holographic lip color seen on models?at the Fenty x Puma spring 2017 runway show – but this is fake news unfortunately, it came from a fanmade FENTY Beauty account that got taken down after the world exploded about it being the ‘first look at FENTY Beauty.’ FENTY Beauty has turned everyone god damn delirious.

Over on Instagram in July, RiRi gave us the first official sneak peek by posting a couple of pictures from the press tour of Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, captioned “face by?@fentybeauty“.
Now, at last, we have a launch date for “the new generation of beauty.” FENTY Beauty will be available worldwide, and in Ireland from September 8th, exclusively in?Harvey Nichols, in addition to the Fenty Beauty website.
