Booster serums that are worth the investment

Booster serums that are worth the investment

Booster serums make handy additions to your skincare routine, amping up a particular ingredient where needed. Here are some worth the spend.

Do I need booster serums?

If you feel like your current skincare routine needs a shake up, then a booster could be for you. You can buy potent active ingredients like vitamin C in booster format without having to spend €80+ on a good vitamin C serum.

If your skin is in need of repair, detox or an overall rejuvenation and going for a facial isn’t an option, some face massage techniques alongside a booster serum and a good (gentle) exfoliation should see you right.

Booster serums can be applied on their own before applying a moisturiser or can also be mixed with your current moisturiser then applied both morning and night.

Three booster serums to try

Eucerin Hyaluron-Filler Vitamin C Booster 7 days use

€21 from boots.ie

This one is new, but I’m into it already. Thanks to its vitamin C and hyaluronic acid combination, it not only fights against free radicals, which are known to break down collagen and elastin, but also plumps and hydrates at the same time. It contains a whopping 10% of pure vitamin C – a real shot of adrenalin for the skin.

No7 Laboratories Line Correcting Booster Serum

€49 from boots.ie

A LOT of research went into this bad boy. It’s clinically proven to reduce the appearance of wrinkles by up to 5 years in just 12 weeks. It’s just for lines and wrinkles, but you can use it anywhere on the face safely.

Clarins Detox Booster Serum

€39 from clarins.ie

This one is enriched with green coffee extract, a plant known to have detoxifying properties. It can revive the dullest complexion, detoxifying the skin. This can undo (some of) the damage caused by a short stint with poor diet, alcohol or some environmental skin triggers.
