My beauty loves: TV presenter Muireann O’Connell

Muireann O’Connell‘s new show The Line Out on Virgin Media (sharing a couch with Greg O’Shea no less) is already a hit. But what are her beauty must-haves?

There’s no stopping Muireann O’Connell right now.

She’s busy presenting her new rugby show, The Line Out, alongside co-host Greg O’Shea. And with guests like Peter Stringer and Ronan O’Gara, she’s accompanied by some genuine sports royalty.

I’m always envious of her amazing hair and make-up on the show, and so I plugged her for info on her favourite beauty bits.

Muireann’s beauty loves

The beauty essential on my bedside locker is…

“Water, is that a thing? We’re always told it’s a thing. I also have cuticle oil. Unopened. For two years. I wanted to become one of those good people. I am not one of those good people.”

The item always found in my handbag is…

“La Roche Posay’s hand cream. Can you sense a theme? I have the hands of a turf cutter who uses just their hands to cut turf.”

The thing I WISH someone would buy me as a gift is…

“A Hydrafacial. My sister shouts at me about these all the time, yet never actually gets me one… I suppose living in Australia gives her a pass. And maybe the fact I’m a grown-ass women with my own money.”

My best beauty buy of the last year is…

“Skingredients Skin Veg by The Skin Nerd, Jennifer Rock. Tis fabliss.”

The best beauty recommendation I ever received was…

“Take off your make-up at night.”

My go-to foundation is…

“I am all over the shop. At the moment I’m using Revlon and Catrice.”

My all-time favourite fragrance is…

I copied a dear friend for years – Stella by Stella McCartney. The excuse was that she was living in New Zealand and I wanted to be reminded of her. I was really just incredibly lazy. Finding a fragrance is a pain in the arse. I have finally found my forever — Sì by Giorgio Armani. Totally had nothing to do with Cate Blanchett… God, I’m so weak.
