Barbie Gets A Pat McGrath Makeover

Forget Kylie Jenner or Gigi Hadid; Barbie’s been setting trends since she first came on the scene back in the 1950s (albeit an unrealistic representation of women). In recent years, the once blonde, Caucasian Barbie, who only wore pink and dated men named Ken has made various strides in diversity. These days, she’s gone both hipster and high fashion, and the latest adventures of Barbie – in which she collaborates with none other than MUA legend, Pat McGrath – are making waves among the movers and shakers in the fashion industry.

These days you don’t need to buy into the latest Barbie releases to keep up with the trends; you can follow her on Instagram, where’s she’s nothing if not chic and well travelled. Currently, Barbie’s doing her thang at Paris Fashion Week, for which she’s sporting ultra-glam looks created by none other than the aforementioned McGrath. We’ve already gotten a taster of these catwalk-worthy looks below, but fear not, there’s more to come.

Barbie, no longer the doll you decapitate and leave to gather dust in an attic box.

Stay tuned for more on Paris Fashion Week.
