Allies of Skin has landed in Ireland – here are 4 products we love

Your cheat sheet to the newest cult skincare brand to land in Ireland, Allies of Skin

Allies of Skin skincare wants to take care of your skin now and for the future. Their smart formulations are packed with actives, antioxidants, nutrients and superfoods to support your skin’s health, and eight of their ten products have just landed in Ireland via Space NK. Here, founder Nicolas Travis breaks down the four best hard-working products from the cult skincare brand.

Molecular Multi-Nutrient Day Cream, €117

“This is really designed to be a water cream — it melts in your skin and it feels like water. It doesn’t have any silicone, and we have kombucha, probiotics, niacinamide, manuka honey – so it’s really designed to balance your skin. It’s very lightweight and can be used on combination, breakout-prone skin. It feels like water and delivers intense hydration.”

Peptides & Antioxidants Firming Daily Treatment, €130

“This is a lot creamier but it will never clog your pores. It has multiple peptides and antioxidants and an ingredient called teprenone which essentially helps your skin cells communicate better and stay fresh longer. Use this to restore your skin barrier – this one’s a little bit richer, so it’s perfect for wintertime and you can use this around the eye area, the lips and the neck.”

1A Retinal & Peptides Overnight Mask, €130

“This has a form of retinol called retinaldehyde which is one conversion rate away from what your skin can absorb. The base is pure organic argan oil so you get a lot of nourishment and essential fatty acids without clogging your pores. This reduces fine lines and wrinkles, speeds up cellular renewal and brightens your skin, and it’s one of a few retinol products that can be used around the eye area as well.”

Bright Future Sleeping Facial, €143

“This is our fastest-acting product, it delivers results overnight because it is a hydrating sleeping peel. There are 8% acids in there, enzymes, retinol is encapsulated inside a pure hyaluronic acid gel, so it’s designed to give you an exfoliating while replenishing moisture, so you wake up glowy and dewy and brighter. Use this two to three nights in a row per week and that’s about it. What you do is, you cleanse your face, mist, apply a hydrating serum and apply this on top and then go to bed. It forms a hydrating barrier so it’s perfect for wintertime. This is one of our best sellers and it is designed to treat hormonal, stressed breakouts. Even if you don’t break out, you can use this to reduce blackheads and whiteheads all year long. A lot of our female customers use this before their periods and then find when their period comes, they don’t break out.”

Allies of Skin is available from Space NK Grafton Street.
