It’s almost time for our first inaugural Beaut-Tea?event, taking place in the ever-wonderful city of Cork on?Sunday, October 2nd in the incredible surroundings of Hayfield Manor. We’re pulling out all the stops; we’ll have top beauty pros on hand to offer advice and tips, gorgeous goodie bags, seriously tasty treats (with a spot of afternoon tea) with plenty of surprises. While we count down the days, we thought there was no better time to look at some of the talented beauty/fashion buffs, influencers, and bloggers that hail from Cork, and here are seven of our current favourites (in no particular order):
Triona McCarthy
This is one Cork native that all beauty fans will instantly know of and for good reason.?Beauty expert, guru and columnist, the lovely Triona McCarthy (a qualified beauty therapist, makeup artist and cosmetic industry professional to boot)?is one of the best women we know for beauty product and trend know-how. ?If there’s a must-have palette you need to have in your life, Triona will tell you before anyone else (so that you might nab it before it sells out). The busy mum-of-two is a regular expert on TV3’s Xpos? and is a wealth of knowledge should you have any beauty conundrum. John Geaney
The renowned John Geaney started hairdressing in Cork in 1986, and while his base has remained the same, he branched out on his own after time abroad and has since gone on to win multiple awards for his creative expression when it comes to hair – he’s not four times national colour champion and an IMAGE Business of Beauty winner for nothing, after all. Lisa Jordan
Lisa Jorden of justjordan.ie is a beauty industry veteran with over ten years experience in the industry and is one of Cork’s most popular bloggers but it was her love of fashion that eventually formed her now hugely successful blog. Her site contains musings on everything from beauty, fashion and the countdown to the birth of her baby. Pamela Morrissey, owner of the acclaimed Sobe Brown hair and nail salon in Cork city, is a name with which you will undoubtedly be familiar. Lauren Arthurs
