6 Kits For Perfect Brows

Keira Knightley

Not so long ago, if you left the house without your mobile phone, you’d feel as though you’d left a vital organ at home. Today, we feel much the same about our eyebrows. Achieving Lily Collins-like brows, or at least filling in the gaps, is now as standard a part of our beauty routine as taking a selfie when we’re done. Because of this, we’re no longer stuck with one expensive option when it comes to brow filler-inners. Below we round up the best brow options, some old favourites and some newcomers too.

browzings

Benefit Brow Zings, €34

Brow Zings remains a favourite among Irish women who yearn for fuller, face-framing brows. While it’s a little on the expensive side, when you consider the more affordable options below, it’s earned itself a reputation for a reason: it works a treat. Like Urban Decay’s Brow Box, it comes with wax, powder, brushes, tweezers, a mirror and a decent how-to lesson that you can keep ’til you can tend to your brows in your sleep.

boom brow
Fuschia Boom! Brow €15.50

For less than €16, we’re seriously impressed with Irish brand Fuschia’s Boom! Brow. Apparently, every time they get it in stock again it sells out instantly, so if that’s not enough of a ringing endorsement, we don’t know what is. It boasts a cr’me/gel consistency that ensures the smoothest of applications. The matte finish creates a natural ?hair? effect on the brows, no matter how full or sparse your brows appear. Boom Brow’s consistency also allows the formula to be buildable for a more natural day look or a more dramatic evening effect. Boom Brow comes in 3 shades (Blonde, Brunette and Deep Brunette) and suits all complexions.

kiss brows

Kiss Beautiful Brow Kit, €8.99

If you’re after something a little more hardcore – be warned, there’s a razor included – the Beautiful Brow Kit includes everything you could possibly need for defined brows: four stencils (brilliant for those of us with shaky hands), two customisable brow colours, wax, a highlighter and a razor, applicator, brush and spoolie. They say it’s perfect for beginners who want to up their brow game, but we reckon you’d want to have a little bit of experience before you take to yours with a blade.

urban decay brow box

Urban Decay Brow Box, €25.50

A super handy and effective addition to any make-up bag, the Urban Decay Brow Box packs an impressive punch. Depending on whether you opt for the lighter or darker box, your brows won’t know themselves. Each set includes two shades of silky brow powder, perfecting/setting wax, high-quality metal mini tweezers (no seriously, it’s brilliant), two mini angled brushes and two mirrors (one of them magnifies, ensuring you’ll never miss a single stray).

ilah brows

ILAH Brows High Definition Brows, €14.99 for individual powders, €39 for a travel palette

ILAH Brows were apparently the first company to introduce brow extensions, and, loved by the familiar faces on UK TV (Hollyoaks, The Only Way Is Essex, etc.), they’ve now got a kit for those who want celebrity brows at home. Their travel kit includes the brand’s popular Disco Diva Brown, a New brow bone highlighter, as well as Babe Cake Black and a new light brown. A kit within a kit, the Travel Kit flips open to reveal a wax to groom hairs, plus a double-sided mini brushes to groom hairs and apply the products. Completing the set are three stencils London, Paris and New York, ensuring your brows frame the eyes and give you the perfect shape.

tom ford brow

Tom Ford Brow Sculptor, €42

If it’s something luxurious you’re after, the editors at IMAGE can’t speak highly enough of Tom Ford’s Brow Sculptor. Your handbag’s best friend, all you need here is the pencil, as the end of the pencil doubles as the perfect brow brush. Available to buy at Brown Thomas, the unique calligraphy tip allows a tailor-made stroke, from thin to wide. Remove the opposite end cap to uncover the grooming brush; twist the cap counterclockwise to reveal the sharpener.0.3g. Eyebrow heaven!
