Universal Pictures and Lennon Courtney hosted a special preview screening of Paul Thomas Anderson’s up-coming feature Phantom Thread at Dublin’s Light House Cinema, Tuesday 30th January. Guests were treated to a drinks & canapés reception and also got to see the film before it's released in cinemas nationwide this Friday 2nd February.
Given the movie's storyline- it's set in London's couture world in the 1950s with Daniel Day-Lewis as a dressmaker who falls in love with a young waitress- it's no wonder Irish designers turned out in force including Helen Steele, Joanna Hynes, Natalie B Coleman and Adam Gaffey. Also spotted were stylists Roxan Parker, Grace Moore and Sonja Mohlich. Also in attendance were Irish artist Maser, model and author Alison Canavan while Maia Dunphy was also in attendance with her Dancing with the Stars partner Robert Rowinski.
Phantom Thread has been nominated for 6 Oscars including Best Picture and Best Actor (Daniel Day-Lewis).
