This free Christmas event is the perfect outing for the whole family

Little ones will get the chance to see Santa, while there's plenty for older visitors, too.

If you’re looking for a great way to get into the Christmas spirit with all the family, then make sure to head to Liffey Valley Shopping Centre on Saturday, November 16 for a day of festive fun.

The centre will be a hub of seasonal activity, all for free, so it’s the ideal day out for the whole family, and is sure to put everyone in the mood for the build-up to Christmas.

From 1pm the Christmas magic kicks off, with live entertainment, seasonal arts and crafts, and festive face-painting, so there’s something for kids of many ages. The excitement will build throughout the afternoon, culminating with the arrival of Santa at 4pm, the highlight of the day. He will then switch on the Christmas lights at the centre, and officially open his Grotto where he’ll meet young visitors.

It’s the perfect start to the Christmas season, and Santa will be at his Liffey Valley Grotto ready to meet children right up until Christmas Eve and hear their Christmas wishes. So make sure to plan a visit with your little ones, it’s a favourite part of this time of year.

And with over 80 stores, 20 restaurants and a state-of-the-art cinema, Liffey Valley is the ultimate day out for adults and children alike. After you see Santa, you can treat the kids to a delicious meal and a film, for a day out they won’t forget.

With so many favourite brands all in one place, it’s also the perfect place to start ticking people off your Christmas shopping list. Find gifts they’ll treasure at Kilkenny Design or TK Maxx, while there are endless fashion finds at Salsa Jeans, Levi’s, Hobbs, Calvin Klein, Regatta, Sunglass Hut, Penneys, Marks & Spencer, Dunnes Stores and Stradivarius, as well as Ireland’s first concept Zara store.
