The Future of Work: Ireland’s top business leaders on how we can evolve with the changing workplace environment

Join our event with Ireland's top female business leaders, where we will discuss 'The Future of Work' – what it will look like and the changes we can make to stay one step ahead.

‘Work’ isn’t just about location… It’s also about our passion, our identity and our purpose, so while a lot has been evolving in recent times, the pendulum of change and transformation is always in action.

Join us for a very special discussion about our working world, how it’s changing and how we can evolve with it, featuring some of Ireland’s most influential business leaders.

We will hear personal experiences, advice and takeaways, how they expect the next few years to unfold and how we can best prepare for the future of work.

The Future of Work

The third of our IMAGE Business Series, in partnership with PwC, will take place virtually on Wednesday, 22nd September at 3pm.

IMAGE Media’s contributing editor Melanie Morris will moderate the conversation with a hugely accomplished panel featuring the key lead designers of our working life for the future – Deborah Threadgold (General Manager, IBM), Julie Mernagh (Head of People Development & Operations, Vodafone) and Marie O’Donoghue (Director, People & Organisation, PwC).

In this session we will cover ‘The 3 W’s’:

  • Work type – How will the nature of our work change? (i.e. how automation and AI will change how work gets done in the future)
  • Workforce – How do we ensure we have the right mix of people, with the right skills and capabilities to face a very different future? (i.e. how businesses will upskill their people to have the digital IQ needed to thrive in a digital world)
  • Workplace – What does the workplace model need to look like and where will the ‘office’ now be located? (i.e. how we need to reimagine our workplaces to align business needs with employee preferences)
