MOTHER'S DAY FANTASY

Just in case any of my children are reading this, here’s what I would like for Mother’s Day: everyone to sit down together for a proper Sunday Lunch (I don’t even mind cooking it) inspired by Ottolenghi or Slater. The far-flung can be Skyped in. Then we can carve the roast on one of those cool round cutting boards with the juice trench, that everyone orders when they go to a Jamie at Home Tupperware-style party. Finally, if they’d really like to spoil me, a task which traditionally falls to their father, one of those new, indestructible Diane von Furstenburg vintage beach bags (around €150 at Brown Thomas and www.matchesfashion.com) would do verrrrrry nicely. I fancy the orange.
