Whiskey Venues In Dublin You Need To Try

Move over wine – women want whiskey. It seems the age-old tipple is really having a moment, and we’re bound to find it in various guises this festive season. Indulge yourself in these five great whiskey venues.

Suesey Street
Proving you can cook with whiskey, this Dublin hotspot serves up a gorgeous whiskey-cured salmon starter topped with ribbon rolls of beetroot, kohlrabi, mustard cress, horseradish snow, and a walnut crisp, sueseystreet.ie.

Brookwood
Go for the steak, but stay for their whiskey cocktails. We particularly like The Smokey Apple or their whiskey sour made with bourbon, brookwooddublin.com.

The Palace Whiskey Bar
This famed Dublin pub opened in 1823, but the real gem of this place is the upstairs whiskey bar, where you can sample various whiskeys or try out their own aged Irish whiskey, thepalacebardublin.com.

The Dingle Whiskey Bar
No, it’s not in Co Kerry, but on Nassau Street in Dublin, and offers a tasting class hosted by Fionn?n O’Connor every Tuesday evening from 7-8.30pm. Tickets are available for purchase behind the bar, theporterhouse.ie.

The Liquor Rooms
The Liquor Rooms’ decadent, kitsch luxury (see above) is the perfect Dublin surrounding to sip their range of creative cocktails, including the Whiskey Galore Punch, made with Jameson Irish whiskey, vanilla and ginger liqueurs, and ginger ale, topped with prosecco; or maybe just a simple glass of Green Spot, served over a block of crystal clear craft ice, theliquorrooms.com
