WATCH: Discover The Power Of Balance With Financial Advisor, Sinead Ryan

In partnership with Avonmore Balance Milk, IMAGE?is’seeking to help women to find?better?balance in all aspects of our hectic lives with a new series, Discover The Power Of Balance.

From greater equilibrium?in our work lives to practical ways to navigate the tricky tightrope that is our financial juggle, we want to develop strategies to bring back that longed-for sense of calm amid the clamor of career, relationships and financial matters.

IMAGE and Avonmore enlisted the help of five experts across a diverse set of disciplines (relationship psychologist, fitness guru, dietician, personal finance advisor and career strategist) to guide five IMAGE readers with practical advice and tips on how to regain some essential balance in their lives. By bringing a little harmony back into our packed schedules, we are then free to enjoy our lives to the fullest and to feel?invigorated by our commitments rather than enslaved to them.

We asked you, our readers, how you felt about the balancing act of your day-to-day. Our survey was completed by over 1000 Irish women and shone a light on some of the biggest concerns for all of us navigating the at-times demanding contemporary?landscape.

We can all feel anxious when it comes to personal finances, by the end of the month half of you said that the bank account was looking ?a bit sad? and while you might have the essentials just about covered, it would be a “quiet weekend”. About one-third of respondents find themselves arguing about finances with their partner. Groceries and bills top the spending charts with less than ten percent of readers having the means to give priority to treats like clothes and holidays. When it comes to planning for the future, more than one-third of participants had yet to arrange any kind of pension scheme.

Join IMAGE reader, Miriam as she discovers, with the help of financial journalist and personal finance expert, Sinead Ryan, the means to achieving balance in her personal finances.

Miriam’s finances are slightly complicated. As a freelancer, Miriam finds it difficult to manage her monthly outgoings. Like many of us, she wants to move away from the sense of constantly living hand to mouth. ?There’s always too much month at the end of the money!? says Miriam.

Sinead says: ?There’s no such thing as bad spending, just imbalanced spending, but we all need treats in our lives too.?

?A key goal is to get into that savings habit. Very often when we think of savings, we think of it as something to do with leftover money which can be the wrong attitude?. Savings needs to become?part?of your spending.?

For tips on how to save and regain balance in your finances, watch Sinead’s brilliant saving hacks below.
