A sneak peek at the pop-up’s otherworldly charms?

Following on from last year’s popular Makers & Brothers & Others pop-up, style-setting siblings Jonathan and Mark Legge are back with a careful gathering from the worlds of food, skincare, fashion, homewares and gifts, all of which make up their ?tiny department store?.

Hosted by the Fumbally Exchange on Dame Lane, the space looks onto the quaint city-centre alleyway through a floor-to-ceiling curved window – perfect for people-watching while sipping your Roasted Brown coffee and savouring delicious fancies by The Wildflour Bakery.

Among the ?Others? involved this year are HAY – one of our favourites for beautiful basics – and, back for the second year, Australian skincare brand Aesop: we recommend you don’t leave without inhaling some of their gorgeous geranium hand balm!

As for the expansive Irish product presence, they definitely shine, especially when you look at the stunning cut glass by new Waterford-based brand J. Hill’s Standard; the tumblers would make the perfect Christmas gift for anyone who likes a sense of ceremony with their chosen tipple. As for your own wishlist? It’s time now to start dropping a few hints – and names: think Derek Wilson, Mourne Textiles and intricate Inis Meain knits, all exuding understated yet heart-stoppingly well-crafted goodness.

Obviously this tiny store is steering us into the seasonal madness that is Christmas shopping (eek!) but fear not, as the engaging surroundings, family vibe and stories behind the pieces will restore your faith in the season of giving.

Open from now until Christmas Eve, 5 Dame Lane, Dublin 2.
