Inside a Sleek Villa-Style Rathmines Home

See More Photos
?I knew straight away it was my house,? says designer Asheena Naidoo of the first time she set eyes on this villa-style house in Rathmines. ?I’m six feet tall and I loved its high ceilings.? She?was determined to preserve the house’s history, and everything that was original – from old fireplaces to sash windows and cornicing ??was painstakingly restored. New modifications were kept sleek and simple. Painted in cool shades of blue, green and grey, the feel is fresh and contemporary, but with the calming effect of a traditional home.
