This App Will Make You Fall in Love with Ireland Again

The Design Island app will make you fall in love with Ireland again.

Cool new restaurants, hot events, gorgeous galleries and hidden gems? wouldn’t it be great if the very best things in Ireland were all bundled up, wrapped in a bow and put into one handy app? Well, design lovers, you’re in luck, as that’s just what has happened.

Design Island is a brand new app featuring ideas, recommendations and suggestions from over 45 of the country’s most in-the-know creatives. Brought to you by the good people behind ID2015, a year-long celebration of Irish craft and design, the app works as guide, alerting you to buzz-worthy places?to eat, drink, stay and shop.

With an obvious focus on design, it is not only a handy way of finding out what design events are on and nearby but also a comprehensive look at some of the best places to visit, stay, shop, eat and drink. The Design Island app will make you fall in love with Ireland again.

In the drop down menu you can choose by county, making researching for a day trip, weekend away or staycation a doddle. The map option gives you an aerial view of the attractions by category while the ‘what’s on’ options give you a run down of the ID2015 programme on the go. The drop down menu also allows you to find our more about the curators (including Image Interiors & Living ed, Nathalie Marquez Courtney) and their top picks nationwide and your own favourites list.

Get it now?from the App Store and Google Play.
