For our first ever wine of the week I’ve selected Tomaresca Neprica 2010, a Puglian red, which combines intense, yet inviting aromas of red fruits and black cherries with light violet notes.
Sounds plausible, doesn’t it? Actually to be frank, I’m a bit of a wine numpty. I choose a wine because it has a pretty label, or it’s on special offer or because a newspaper’s wine buff recommends it.
However, I discovered this one with the help of my friendly local offie and it’s really delicious. Quaff it with pizza, spring lamb sprinkled with rosemary or maybe, like me, enjoy a glass (or two) as an aperitif while knocking up a bite to eat ….
