The next step in the global philanthropic power that is Absolut, takes its collection of contemporary art to Dublin, with Wildly Different Things: New York and Dublin, an exhibition showcasing works by a selection of artists from both sides of the Atlantic, on their interpretation of the iconic vodka bottle. The title stems from a quote by Robert Storr, an American artist and curator of the 2007 Venice Biennale – “The dire predictions of global homogenization are just not true. There’s a lot of shared information, but people do wildly different things with it.” Can’t wait to see what our lads have come up with.
From February 25 – March 20 at The Observatory, 7 –11 Sir John Rogerson’s Quay, Dublin 2; www.absolutart.ie
