ASK TINA: The alternative solution

Q         My boyfriend of six months has a two year old son with his former girlfriend. She keeps phoning him to collect things for their son or to come and see him, which he ususally does. He loves his son so much and would do anything for him. This is really getting on my nerves, but I’m willing to put up with it for the moment. What do you think?

A         I think you have taken rather a large dose of stupid pills if you think you are going to be able to control this to your liking. This is his son who, as you say, he would do anything for. He sounds like a very good, caring father, who is always going to have contact with his little boy – I doubt the child’s mother (his ex-girlfriend) would be prepared to hand over her first born, should you end up marrying this man, so it’s make your mind up time – shut up or ship out.
