Every season an “It” bag appears from the runway shows, whether it’s the Fendi Baguette, the Mulberry Bayswater or the 3.1 Phillip Lim. This season though seems to be packed full of cross-body bags, from Chloe to Marc Jacobs and we’re loving it. A bag you can’t overfill and won’t break your’shoulder to carry around, the smaller size is perfect for an evening on the town.

As usual Anya Hindmarch and Olympia le Tan impressed with their pop art accessories and ‘book’ bags but we’ve fallen head over heels for the Celine bag selection this time around. Simple and sophisticated, that’s us.

We’ve rounded up some of the best small bags on show from the Spring/Summer shows in Paris, Milano, London and New York so you can decide for yourself what accessory you’ll be ogling over for the next six months. Let us know your favourites in the comments.
