The Blanket Coat Everybody Wants

The Burberry poncho is the best thing about September…

Ever since we live-streamed the Burberry Prorsum A/W show from London Fashion Week last Spring our dream Autumn wardrobe has been draped in the monogrammed ponchos that dominated the runway and shoulders of fashion’s key models. Cara Delevingne has been the strongest ambassador of the look while fellow Burberry girl, Suki Waterhouse, has also been spotted out and about with the initials on show. Check out the gallery above for some ideas on how to incorporate to look into your transitional wardrobe. Blanket coats are to 2014 as pink coats were to 2013 – necessary.

Another aspect in favour of making Burberry September’s Spend is the monogramming service the brand are introducing this month. It’s not just for catwalk residents. The ponchos and iconic cashmere heritage scarves can be personalized with up to three characters so double-barrels rest assured. Or you can just peacock that unknown middle name while working an accessory with a history that dates back to the 1880s.

The monogramming service costs up to £200 and will be available online at Will you be trying it out?
