Pop-ups popping up

Pop-ups popping up

Pop-ups are a welcome new feature to the Irish retail scene. We’ve seen them in the food industry with restaurants such as Taco Taco and Crackbird (which has just grown permanent roots), and now they’re appearing in the fashion and design world. Here are the three that you should visit this month!

April and The Bear

If you’re looking for a pop-up store that looks like a perfectly curated Pinterest profile, than look no further than April and The Bear.  The online emporium that started off as Siobhan Lam’s DIY and home blog is now host to international and Irish designed products, and has taken a leap from its digital home into the Fumbally Exchange on Dame Lane.

Finery London

Finery was only born in the UK a year ago but has already made a strong impression with online customers globally. As the product of Caren Downe, Emma Farrow and Rachel Morgans – all three ladies who have in the past been fashion directors, buyers and design directors for ASOS and Topshop – it comes as no surprise that the shopping portal is doing so well.

Now there’s a chance to try on their gorgeous S/S ’15 collection before purchasing! Do it quickly though, the pop-up will only be open for another week at BT2, Grafton Street.

Irish Design 2015

The Chocolate Factory is a new creative community emerging in the old Williams & Woods building on Kings Inn Street, Dublin. They used to produce Toblerone and Mint Crisps here, but now the space is host to resident artists and creatives.

Irish Design 2015

A weekend-long pop-up store will launch this Friday evening within the complex, showcasing the in-house designers’ work and with demos and workshops taking place as well. For more details, check it out here!
