The Inevitable has happened. Lily-Rose Depp has landed a Chanel campaign. Lily-Rose has been a brand favourite these past few months after her headline-grabbing appearance at Chanel’s Paris-Salzberg Métiers d’Art show last Spring in New York. And then last week she helped Karl Lagerfeld’s casino haute couture show stay in the spotlight with her mother-daughter date with Vanessa Paradis, who is a longtime ambassador for Chanel. She also hung out with Isabelle Huppert, as you do.
And she made pals with actress Lily Collins. (There are a lot of Lilys of late.)

Therefore, no one is especially shocked that the 16-year-old has been appointed the face of the brand’s eyewear for fall. Johnny Depp and Paradis’ daughter appears in one ad wearing a sequined light pink dress, with tousled hair and plum lips. Her bejeweled round 1960s sunglasses are just a further reminder that this teenager has really outdone everyone in the cool stakes. She even made a video for the CR Fashion Book.
And if Lily-Rose’s heritage and natural attitude weren’t enough to get her the job, there’s also the fact she’s a rising social media star to consider. Her Instagram enjoys a cult following and will make you envy all and any teenager who gets to come of age in Paris. Here she is prepping for last week’s Chanel show. Good tag game.
