New London online retailer Kitri, launched last month, promises to be the new finerylondon.com with its curated edit of contemporary separates at very accessible price points. More expensive than Zara, but much less pricey than Whistles and Maje, the label is likely to be a hit with women looking for clothes with a strong design aesthetic that doesn’t cost the equivalent of a month’s mortgage payment. Here are my favourite pieces from the current collection.
A shirt dress is one of this season’s key buys, and this versatile option can be worn loose as a tunic, or belted with a sash, for a slightly kimono-style shirt dress. I love the extra-long cuffs, which add interest to this otherwise understated piece.

Statement sleeves appeared all over the SS catwalks, and this beautiful top epitomises the trend. The romantic sleeves are almost Tudor-like but balanced beautifully by the minimalism of the rest of the piece. This top can be worn as boatneck or off the shoulder.

Saint Laurent has brought back the eighties over the past few seasons, and Kitri has nailed that combination of retro reference and modern classicism with this sexy tuxedo dress. I love that it has pockets too. They had an air of nonchalance to this high-octane look.

The front of this top is completely plain, which allows for the elaborate detailing at the back. I love that contrast between modern minimalism at the front and girlish frivolity at the back. This top is made for a woman of two halves.
