February Now & Next: Where Fashion Meets Culture

Where fashion meets culture.

DROP IT

From shoulder-grazing chandeliers to subtle studs, drop earrings are the new accessory du jour. Take inspiration from the runways of Marni, Daks and Isabel Marant and let your ears do the talking this month.

IN THE PINK

Pink and red aren’t just for February. The two colours that, in the past, never crossed paths now make up this season’s key colour combination. From fashion and beauty to interiors and art, tap into the stylish clash of blush hues through to potent pinks and ripe reds for an unapologetically modern look.

MOLLY GODDARD X TOPSHOP

London-based designer Molly Goddard has unveiled her latest collaboration with Topshop, which includes new designs and those seen at the Molly Goddard SS17 show at London Fashion Week. The eight-piece capsule collection comprises bold styles in soft leather and suede and strong colour blocks. Calf- and knee-length boots, wrap-detail sandals and ankle-strap flats are available in vivid orange and silver hues, as well as neutral black and navy. This is the first time Goddard has experimented with shoe design, but it’s a clever way of introducing the brand to a wider audience. The collection launches January 23 and will be available at topshop.com and in selected stores.

FACE THE FUTURE

Meet model Alexis Ren, and remember her face. This Californian beauty has captivated fashion designers and industry experts alike since first coming to attention at the age of 13. But don’t take our word for it: famed Vogue fashion photographer Mario Testino has branded her “one to watch”. The 20-year-old social media icon and fashion model has joined the extraordinary ranks of Cara Delevingne, Kendall Jenner, Gisele Bündchen, Naomi Campbell, Gigi Hadid and Miranda Kerr for Testino’s personal photographic project, Towel Series.
