Accessories Trends To Try This Summer

Accessories Trends To Try This Summer

Go bold in ankle cuffs, add the subtle sparkle of a ring belt, and try a new silhouette. Here are four accessories to try this summer.

Ankle Cuffs

Old-school glamour is given a modern twist with the revival of ankle cuffs this summer. Your ankles might not be the most obvious spot to accessorise, but these?chic and chunky trend is a great way to get your outfit summer-ready and showing off your killer pins.?If our trend reports are anything to go by (they are – trust me) then we should all invest in a pair of ankle cuffs, pronto.

Be stylish whatever your angle – put a pair of #jessicabeecham metal #anklecuffs in your suitcase and sharpen up your look from the bottom up ! Styling @nataliehhowell thank you !!!

These Attico?rose-pink satin buckle-fastening ankle straps from Browns Fashion have an oversized shape that’s designed to draw attention to the narrowest part of your leg and will transform?every pair of shoes. How AMAZING are this point-toe mule and cuff combo.

Sunshine Accessories

Sunshine palettes in mango, yellow and golden hues?are a perfect solution?for light-coloured skin during summer, so instead of running off to the sun, simply’splash’some yellows and?orange tones into your wardrobe mix instead. What’s more, these palettes will help to enhance your natural tan too. We might not get a huge amount of sunshine here in Ireland, but we can certainly dress as if we do! who knows, it’might even encourage the sun to come out more often…Add bright accents to any outfit to achieves the perfect sunshine palette look.

High-leg Swimwear

The one-piece swimsuit continues to reign for summer 2017, with the addition of the high?leg silhouette. According to Refinery29, the high-leg swimsuit silhouette has seen a 99% increase in searches since January of last year (partially, no doubt, because of the Kardashian-Jenner clan, Bella Hadid, and Emily Ratajkowski)

It’s a sophisticated and sexy nod to the eighties and nineties, and a new range of swim materials – like crochet, mesh, and even velvet- (yes, really!) give this classic look a modern twist. What’s more, this super-shaped silhouettes?gives the impression of long and limber limbs.

Buckle Up With A Ringed belts

It’s the subtle circular trend you’re going to start seeing everywhere – not just on belts. Irish designer J.W Anderson’s iconic ‘Pierce’ bag isn’t complete without the finishing touch of a golden or silver ring, and even high street favourites like Zara and Boohoo are adding metal ringed accents to trends.

Because of their popularity, however, ring belts are hard to come by in shops, but there are a plethora of them available online. I love this one from AliExpress, and for under €5, it’s an absolute steal. This one from Asos is just as cool and on-trend, too. Buying a belt with a larger ring allows you to play around with the trend and accessories even more: take note of how Prada styles their ringed-belts by adding tiny notebooks and miniature purses. It’s belted perfection.
