Italian cuisine specialists Barilla took centre stage for food lovers at this year’s Punchestown Music Festival, thanks to the official opening of its eagerly-awaited pop-up restaurant, ‘By Barilla’.
We were there too too see a host of nostalgic acts including Culture Club, All Saints, Tom Jones and Bonnie Tyler.
The Italian pop-up restaurant launched with an exclusive sitting for media and bloggers where we feasted on meats, cheeses, olives and breads before sampling three authentic pasta dishes; Fusilli with tiger prawns and arrabbiata sauce; tortellini of three cheeses and Linguini Primavera with chicken and julienne of vegetables.
A host of familiar faces were in attendance including blogger Sinéad Burke, 98FM DJ Adrian Kennedy, Italian food writer Veruska Anconitano, Snapchat sensation Paddy Smyth and fashion illustrator Holly Shortall.
