Leading women from the Irish Grocery industry gathered this week at the InterContinental Hotel, Ballsbridge, for the second ‘Today’s Women in Grocery’ networking luncheon. The ‘Today’s Women in Grocery’ (TWIG) group was created by the Irish Grocers Benevolent Fund (IGBF) as a platform for women in grocery to grow their connections, learn from leading inspirational women and discuss issues of concern and network with each other, with a key focus on raising the profile of women in the sector.
The event captured the theme ‘Growing Connections’, marking a positive and engaging day in the grocery sector calendar. The theme reflects the aim of the event having offered women a supportive and inspiring environment to grow their connections. TWIGs is unique to the sector and is specifically targeted towards a female audience. Women who attended the event had the opportunity to network with a cross-section of industry which included leading suppliers, retailers and support agencies.
