The World Reacts To The 45th President Of The United States

Had you really stopped to consider that this might actually happen? We certainly hadn’t. Not really.

As a result, we are all absolutely shook.

Lady Gaga has already been out protesting at Trump Tower, sharing the message that Love Trumps Hate. This is important – to exercise tolerance and compassion in the face of condemnation, judgement or hatred.

We have grappled with how this could have happened, considered the consequences, looked back at the most important things to know about this election, and even created The IMAGE Guide To The Apocalypse?in the event of a Trump victory.?

When you consider all the xenophobia, racism, religious discrimination, homophobia and misogyny that has made this possible, it’s easy to feel defeated. It’s okay for today to feel devastated and traumatised and afraid. But this isn’t the time to give up, it’s the time to fight harder and shout louder. The determination and love of everyone that Trump has stood against will be stronger for this day, and that will be Trump’s final and eternal legacy.

Here is how the world of Twitter dealt the the news this morning.

Here is a little excerpt from Hillary’s speech tonight.

Lastly, we leave you with this video Buzzfeed News posted on Twitter last night of Barack Obama.

“Let’s face it. This has been an exhausting, stressful, and sometimes downright weird election for all of us. But remember, no matter what happens, the sun will rise in the morning.”
