The Jameson Dublin International Film Festival kicks off with gusto tomorrow evening and if you’ve yet to make your weekend plans, we’ve got something exciting up for grabs this coming Saturday. For fans of fairytales, romance and Irish director Kenneth Brannagh, the Irish premiere of Cinderella at the Savoy cinema will be a night to remember. Tickets to this event are as valuable as gold dust, but luckily for you, we’ve got some tickets to give away to ye loyal readers. Fancy attending with a pal? To say we are excited for this movie is an understatement; with Cate Blanchett as the evil stepmother, Helena Bonham Carter as the fairy godmother and Richard Madden as the dashing prince (apparently, he managed to make his friends cry when they got to watch his performance), we could not imagine better casting.?Relive your childhood fairytale fantasies with the trailer below.

The Oscar nominated Kenneth Brannagh who has helmed an eclectic mix of movies – everything from My Week With Marilyn to Thor to Much Ado About Nothing, and now he’s entering the enchanting world of fairytales for a live-action adaptation of Cinderella – as well as starring in some too (most recently Macbeth), will be on hand for a special Q&A this Saturday March 21st.

Branagh will be honoured at the Festival, with a Volta, an award created by the Festival to celebrate individuals who have made a significant contribution to the world of film. The awards are named after the Volta Picture Theatre, Ireland’s first dedicated cinema, established by James Joyce.
