Happy Monday! Have a cup of tea and catch up with the world.
- Dame Helen Mirren was at Louisiana Tulane University to receive an honorary doctorate for her career and philanthropy and in her commencement speech she gave some solid life advice.
Mirren: Rule Number One. Don't need to rush to get married.
— Tulane University (@Tulane) May 20, 2017
Mirren: Number Two – just treat people like people. An actress friend of mine did the most simple thing that taught me a huge lesson.
— Tulane University (@Tulane) May 20, 2017
Mirren: And an addendum to rule #2. No matter what sex you are, or race, be a feminist.
— Tulane University (@Tulane) May 20, 2017
Mirren: never again allow a group of old, grumpy, rich white men define the health care of a country that is 50.8% women & 37% other races.
— Tulane University (@Tulane) May 20, 2017
Mirren: Three –Ignore anyone who judges the way you look, especially if he or she is some anonymous creep lurking on the Internet.
— Tulane University (@Tulane) May 20, 2017
Mirren: Number Four — don't be afraid of fear. Those words bring me back to my grammar school and our headmistress
— Tulane University (@Tulane) May 20, 2017
Mirren: Don't procrastinate.
Do say thank you when it is merited.
Do say thank you when it is merited.
Don't lose your sense of humor.— Tulane University (@Tulane) May 20, 2017
Mirren: Do confront bullies.
Don't procrastinate.
Do open your heart to love.— Tulane University (@Tulane) May 20, 2017

3. A sample of moon dust bought in an online auction for $995 by amateur geologist Nancy Lee Carlson is now worth millions. The sample was taken during Neil Armstrong’s moon landing. When she sent it to NASA, they seized it, but after a lawsuit she got it back and plans to auction it and raise money for scientific research.
