JLo Sued For A Raunchy Morocco Show

Educators weren’t major on the old testament when we were in our religious run primary school, but we’re pretty sure someone turned into a pillar of salt after critiquing Jennifer Lopez at some stage.

This week Jennifer Lopez is dealing with all manners of BS after a conservative educational group in Morocco have decided to sue her for being too sexy. The 45-year-old singer is facing accusations that she disturbed public order and tarnished the honour of women after her concert in Morocco’s capital Rabat was broadcast on television, reports TMZ. The irate groups are looking to sue Jennifer herself and her promoter, although legal experts say it is unlikely she’ll find herself enjoying a short stay in prison, the sentence a successful suit can sometimes entail.

This is the first time one of Jlo’s Morocco shows were shown on television. She has performed in the country before with no complaints, but the broadcast of her appearance at the Mawazine World Rhythms International Music Festival appears to have seriously upset some people. The On The Floor singer is known for her revealing outfits and sultry songs, so the shock horror reaction is a bit tiresome.

The BBC also reports that calls are being made for the country’s Minister of Communication to resign. Members of the government are vocal in their criticism of the show, with talking heads and newspapers joining in the condemnation. Parliament are set to hold a meeting about the entire incident.

Meanwhile, JLo is going about her fab existence, unperturbed about the countrywide controversy she’s caused. She attended last night’s Tony Awards in a rather demure blue gown looking amazing.
