Cara Delevingne Hits Back At “Disgusting” Paparazzi

Model-turned-actress Cara?Delevingne isn’t one to keep quiet on issues she feels strongly about. She openly spoke of her disdain for the fashion industry, called an actor out for badmouthing her and is comfortable speaking about her sexuality to the media. With her debut on the big screen this year (following her shock departure from her model agency) alongside?having one of the most recognisable faces in the world,?Delevingne has become exposed to a wider audience, which has seen her public profile increase. And obviously, this comes with increased attention from photographers and?paparazzi with the latter going completely overboard when trying to snap a picture of the Paper Towns star.

Early this morning, the model and actress tweeted that a person with a camera tried to take a picture under her dress while attending a charity event in London, and we can’t blame her for wanting to vent her disgust.

“If a picture tomorrow comes out soon of my ass…. I sincerely apologise!” she wrote from the Project-0 fundraiser at Scala. “Some disgusting so-called ‘human’ with a camera tried to take a picture up my skirt.” The model is well known for her dislike of the?paparazzi, following a similar social media rant back in September.

She told her Twitter followers she thought it was “disgusting that Paris is the only place where it is illegal for paps to follow you around”. Referring to Princess Diana’s death in 1997, who died in a car accident while being chased?by photographers, Delevingne pointed to the fact that it took someone losing their life for the law to come into place. “It’s horrible!! How many people have to get hurt or even killed to realise that it’s not right?” she continued. “It scares me because they act like they’re assassins with there telescope lenses, hiding in bushes or whatever they can find.” She added that she would never sit back and tolerate being “treated like an object”:

This isn’t the first time a public figure has been forced to take some sort of action?at the UK media’s culture for taking unwanted and invasive pictures – earlier this year, William and Kate were forced to issue a public statement denouncing tabloid photographers for attempting to “harass” Prince George?by?grossly overstepping boundaries and?attempting to lure him away from his minders to get pictures. We’re forever talking of privacy when it comes to those in the public eye, but we’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again: they have a right to a private life. Just as they have a right to walk down the street without fear of someone attempting to take a degrading picture. Delevingne was more than willing to take suggestions from her devoted followers as to how to seek revenge, and came up with an apt suggestion:
