Burlesque Festival Anyone?

Women in burlesque costumes.

Dublin comes over all cabaret this November…

The fourth annual – and truly spectacular – Dublin Burlesque Festival takes place from November 6-9 in various city-centre locations. This unique festival aims to embrace and to celebrate the growing Burlesque scene in Ireland, bringing together some of the most renowned Irish and international performers, dancers and singers for a weekend of pure decadence. The festival opens with a Speakeasy on the Thursday, followed then by Friday’s ?Circus Macabre? which aims to explore Burlesque’s darker side, its theme veering more towards the alternative both in acts and suggested audience attire. Saturday’s red-carpet style ?Gala Performance and Awards Ceremony? showcases classic performers, who alongside the previous evening’s participants compete to win a much-coveted ?Epiphany? trophy. The festival closes with Sunday’s ?Afternoon Tea and Vintage Show? where the audience will enjoy an afternoon of sweet treats and live music whilst Burlesque beauties model the finest vintage fashion. One weekend not to be missed! For further details and for bookings see www.dublinburlesquefestival.ie
